The Brass Candlestick - Archive No. L.027.2026

During a series of observations of outdoor dining, researchers noted that the warm flame reflected softly against the brass, extending the feeling of the table long after the sun had disappeared. For its ability to extend the evening, the brass candlestick transforms the act of lighting a candle into a ritual, bringing warmth, intimacy and a sense of occasion to the table. Its aged brass catches the fading light and continues the conversation between the terrace, the table and the evening beyond. The object was accepted into the Archive for its ability to transform ordinary gatherings into occasions. Its gentle light encouraged guests to remain at the table longer, turning the final moments of dinner into part of the evening rather than its conclusion.
