OBSERVED AT
Seville Courtyard
REASON FOR INCLUSION
The Institute observed that coloured glass has an unusual ability to soften artificial light without diminishing it.
During a series of evening observations at Westbrook House, researchers noted that conversation naturally lingered beneath this pendant.
Its botanical silhouette creates gentle movement, while its warm glow encourages slower evenings and quieter gatherings.
The object was accepted into the Archive for its ability to enrich the atmosphere of shared spaces. Its coloured glass softened winter evenings so noticeably that visitors stayed almost an hour longer after dinner
